Important Update - English Hub Online 2020-21

Join The English Hub Online 2020-21 for FREE! This year, every session of The English Hub online will be free of charge to join.  Just look out for the session details here and register free to receive the Zoom invitation. Energised by the wonderful response we had from Hub members to our blended learning PD sessions during lockdown, we are launching our online programme for 2020-21 for English teachers and leaders from KS2-4. Session outlines can be found here ’This was the best Zoom session I attended in lockdown.’ 100% of attendees valued the blend of pre-release reading or viewing, with online discussion. ‘I can’t believe how calm and collegiate you made the sessions even online.  It felt like being part of the English community again!' For only £60 your school or department has automatic entry to 6 sessions across the year.  You can choose to assemble and experience the session together, or use up to three separate log-ins. EdTech Demonstrator Programme

We are delighted to share the news that we have been chosen by the DfE to provide guidance for other schools through the EdTech demonstrator programme. This means that we will be providing support for schools as they develop online teaching and learning resources using Google Classroom. Teachers are doing all they can for pupils in these challenging times and have had to make significant changes to their practice very quickly. Future Change Makers is appropriate for experienced senior leaders and colleagues aspiring to the next level of leadership, including headship. Designed by Professor John West Burnham in partnership with Carolyn Hughan (ETC Director) and experienced headteachers, the programme offers a variety of learning experiences and involves participants working in facilitated learning groups, understanding leadership enquiry through school visits and working with a headteacher mentor. Leadership Enquiry Visits

Technical Difficulties with On-line Bookings and Emails

We are currently experiencing difficulties with on-line bookings and emails. Since 17 October 2016 some on-line bookings may not have been received by the ETC team even though you received a message saying it has. Please get in touch if you have not heard from us or you have not received your usual email reminders for any programmes you are attending.
